Madison is turning 2 years old tomorrow...how that happened and where those 2 years went I have no idea. This morning I realized how much she has grown and changed over the past 2 years. I can have conversations with her...even though they are so funny and pointless. I thought I would share with you guys how our conversation went this morning while I was doing my hair. It's not unlike every other conversation that we have.
After I turned off the blow dryer (she doesn't like the noise) she came in and said:
Madison: Hi mommy, my all done. (with breakfast)
Me: You're all done? Are you sure?
Madison: Yeah, my all done. Mommy, Kennenie (Kennedie) go potty toilet.
Me: Oh Kennedie went potty in the toilet? I highly doubt that. Hey Madison did you know tomorrow is your birthday?!?!? Should we sing the birthday song?
Madison: No. No mommy top it! (stop it)
Me: Why? Aren't you excited for your birthday? What should we do? Should we go to Jumpin' Jacks?
Madison: No, no top it. Mommy my clean daddy's shower.
Me: Oh, your cleaning daddy's shower? That's nice of you.
Madison: Mommy, daddy clean door. (the cupboard door, Alan was painting it last weekend)
Me: Oh did daddy paint the door?
Madison: Yeah, daddy paint door. My paint daddy shower. Oh, other shower! (very excited)
Me: Yeah, cool Madison.
Madison: Mommy, Kennenie go potty toilet. Kennenies duckys.
(then, after glancing at the Christmas tree) Oh, balls on tree! (very excited again)
Me: Yeah there are balls on the tree. Are we supposed to touch them?
Madison: Yes I sure...(she never finishes this sentence with a do, am, etc.) Oh, mommy my princess tool (stool), mommy my turn.
Me: Oh do you want to do your hair.
Madison: Yes I sure...(after brushing her hair) Oh mommy pretty. Mommy my go Jumpin' Jacks.
Me: Yeah, should we go tomorrow for your birthday?
Madison: Yes. My see daddy morrow.
Me: Yes you will see daddy tomorrow huh?
(silence while we do our hair together)
Me: Madison please don't eat the counter, it's yucky.
Madison: No mommy, my like it. It's so good. Oh, my yapple juice! (apple juice)
(she runs from the room)
Madison: Oh mommy, Kennenie crynin. (crying)
And that was the end of me remembering what was said. But when I sat down to write it down so I wouldn't forget it, she had to go and get her book so she could color too.
I seriously love this little girl. She is so random and funny. There is never a dull moment when she is around and there is rarely a silent moment. She always has to be saying something. She is so fun and I love it!
