Alan & Aubrey's Saturday Fun!

On Saturday Alan and I had a very fun filled packed day. We didn't really do much, but we did enjoy spending time with each other and sharing some laughs.

This is our cat Jetta. She has this problem of getting on the kitchen counter everytime we leave the room. We bought this elephant hat a while ago at target because it was so funny, but Jetta hates the hat...I don't know why. This was her punishment for getting up on the counter. She wasn't very happy with us.

At TJ Maxx we found a cupcake pan that made cupcakes in the shape of pumpkins. We thought that sounded like a fun thing to do so we decided to make some Halloween cupcakes. (I know that Halloween is more than a month away, but it was still fun.) This is one of the cupcakes.

We colored the cake batter orange and we tried to make black frosting...but the frosting didn't really work. It turned out to be this really ugly green color, but it still tasted good.

This is Alan with the cupcakes that he frosted. It turned out to be a lot of fun!

On Saturday night we went to dinner and to the rodeo with Alan's coworker Chris and his wife Jordan. This was during the opening ceremonies.

We had a lot of fun together on Saturday. We love days that we can just hang out and not have to worry about anything.

Hello all...sorry i've been so bad about updating this thing, but now i finally have a second to do so and i have something to share. Alan and I went to our second ultra sound today (because the first one was inconclusive as to what the gender was) and we found out that it for sure is Madison Joy Paxton inside of me, so no more worrying! It was so fun to see her! I have found though that she is one of the most stubborn little things that i have ever seen. She wouldn't give us a good look in the first ultra sound and then i was afraid that in the second one she wouldn't let us see either. But finally after about 10-15 minutes of prodding she finally opened her legs just enough for us to get a look. Here are some of the pictures we got from the ultra sound...she kind of looks like an alien a little bit, but that's okay.

1st Doctors Appointment!

Yesterday Alan and I went to our first doctor's appointment for our baby. It was so exciting. I thought that I was only about 9 weeks along and I was kind of nervous that we weren't going to be able to hear the heartbeat, but we did! He stuck the thing on my stomach and we got it right away! It was so loud and so strong that the doctor said he thought that I was probably closer to 10 weeks than 9, but that it really didn't make much of a difference. We are so excited to be pregnant and I can't wait until 18 weeks when we can find out what the gender is. We'll keep you posted! We are leaving for Philadelphia on Saturday May 24 (Our Anniversary) so I will have some good pictures from the trip to put on here too!

New Blog! Yay!

I'm so excited to start up a blog about our family! I have wanted to for a while, but because it was just Alan and me and we weren't too exciting I didn't do it, but now that we are pregnant I think it is the perfect time!

how long have you been married? one year on May 24! I can't believe it's already been a year!how long did we date? We dated off and on for about 6 months before we got engaged then we got married about 6 months later!
how old is he? He will be 25 at the end of May
who eats more? He does
who said i love you first? I did and it freaked out the poor kid
who is taller? He is
who sings better? He for sure sings better!
who pays the bills? He has to. If it was left up to me i'm afraid I'd forget.
who is smarter? We are both way smart! :)
whose temper is worse? My temper is worse. He does pretty well to go with the flow.
who does dishes? He does mostly
who does laundry? Well he usually washes and I usually put away, mostly because they are all my clothes!
who mows the lawn? I wish we had a lawn to mow. Frank our HOA president mows our patch of grass.
who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do it just works for us.
who cooks dinner?we both do when we cook. But he's a way better cook!
who drives when we are together? Alan does...his car gets better gas milage.
who kissed who first? That depends on who you ask. I think it was him and he thinks it was me.
who asked who out first? He asked me out. Actually we just hung out at his apartment so I guess he asked me in.
who proposed? He did! Although I already had my dress and photographer...and everyone else knew, but that's okay.
who is more stubborn? I'm stubborn I admit it.
who is the first to admit their wrong? He is, remember I'm stubborn
whose parents do we see most? We see both way often. It's so nice to be able to live close to both of our parents!
who has more friends? I don't know really...we both have a good amount I think...
who has more siblings? There is no competition in that one. He has 11 brothers and sisters and I have 3.
who is more sensitive? Me.
