Labor Day Weekend in Pheonix

Labor Day Weekend we went down to Pheonix to visit Alan's sister Ali, her husband Matt, and their boys. It was a quick little trip, and a super long (8 1/2 hour) drive, but so fun to see them!

Alan accidentally forgot his church clothes so we weren't able to go to church on Sunday, but instead we decided to go to the Mesa temple and visitor center. It is way pretty and unique. Here we are in front of it.

On the way down we ran into this horrible storm. It started raining so hard that we couldn't see well enough to drive and then it started hailing. It was kinda scary, Alan and I tried to talk to each other, but we couldn't hear over the hail hitting the car, we thought for sure we would have dents in the car. It only lasted like 10 minutes, but this is one of the pictures I got of how drenched the ground was. Then we drove like 2 miles away and it was completely dry. It was so weird.

Madison and Caden playing with Ali's hair curlers.

Matt and the boys at the temple. (For some reason I didn't get a picture of Ali, but just imagine cute little Ali in the picture next to Matt, gorgeous as always :)

It was Caden's 1st birthday on Sunday so we celebrated with cake. I can't believe he is already one!
