Random Stuff

I thought maybe I would get caught up on what we have been up to for the past little while.

On the weekend of the 24th, we went down to Vegas with some friends of ours. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the trip. But on the Saturday we decided to go up to Pine Valley and go fishing in the evening. It was so nice up there. I love being able to enjoy nature.

And so did Madison. She looked as though she wanted to eat nature the entire time. But it was nice. She loved playing with the tall grass and the pine cones.

Last week we went to the St. George pool for a ward pool party in my parents ward. Beth and Jeff and Garrett were there too and Garrett loved Madison's car floatie.

Here's Madison and me after we were done swimming. Isn't that hair awesome?

This past Saturday Alan and I went to the cannery with my parents. Madison went too and she of course had to wear a hair net. We got a lot accomplished at the cannery!

My mom bought Madison this stuffed Gorilla and she loves it! We have since named her Daisy and she sleeps with Madison every night. Here we were feeding her with Madison's bib on. I seriously love this stage so much!

Here are Madison and daddy cuddling. She loves her daddy so much! It's adorable.
And last but not least, Madison loves bathtime! She loves the water! She just splashes and splashes. In this picture I think her face looks just like Beth when she was little. I think it's the eyes.

A good Sleeper

Madison has been sleeping so well lately! It has been so nice to not have to worry about her waking up in the night anymore. She has also been taking like 3 hour long naps which is very nice as well. Last night after I gave her a bath we had about 30 minutes before it was time to lay down so I sat her down to play with her toys while I read for a while. After a couple of minutes I noticed that she was being pretty quite and that is normally not a very good thing. So I looked over and she had grabbed her blanket, rolled over next to the coffee table, and fallen asleep right there in the middle of her toys. I wish I would have thought to get a picture, but it was so sweet I just didn't think of it. My mom tells me that I was the same way, if I was tired I would just go to sleep, but I thought the fact that she would fall asleep when all her toys are around her was really funny.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall...

Who is that!?!?

Oh it's just me...

What a pretty girl...I think I'll kiss her.

As you can see, Madison has this odd love of the mirror. When she's fussy I bring the mirror downstairs and let her play in front of it and it does the trick everytime.

Her new favorite place to play at my mom's house is under the coffee table. She likes to crawl up in there and just sit under it. I've noticed that she will crawl under her high chair and under my table and chairs at home too, so I don't know why she likes to be under things, but she obviously enjoys it for some reason.

My New Do and Some Madison Too!

For the past little while, I've been needing to do something with my hair...so I finally did! It is sooo short! I've never had it this short in my life, but I love it! It is so easy to do and it dries so much faster! I'm all about the short look now.
Now for the interesting stuff :) Madison has decided that she is going to pull herself up on things now...it freaks me out. I don't have a picture of her standing because if she does get that far I freak out because I'm afraid she is going to fall and I have to run to her fast. She is way too wobbily to be doing it, but she just thinks she can. She's just too little, but she for sure doesn't think so. She's had a lot of stumbles and tears, but it doesn't keep her from doing it. I'm just not prepared for a child with no fear, my stress level is going to burst!

Last night we went to our friends Daine and Stephanie Behling's for dinner and to play. Their little girl Kaicee and Madison are good buddies! And yes, do you see those gums? STILL NO TEETH! She has been so stuffy, runny, feverish, and in pain for the past week and a half and every morning I get her up expecting to see some little teeth poking through, but no those little teeth are just as stubborn as my beautiful Madison. Joyful. Haha how bout that cheeser?

Family

So this past week we have had lots of Alan's family in town. Alan's sister, Sharon drove out from Philadelphia, his brother Robert came from Georgia, Alison came from Pheonix, Mike came from Idaho, Danika and the girls also came from Idaho, and Emma and Norm from up north. I think when everyone was here we had a total of 41 people or something like that. The scariest part? That's only half of his family :) It is wild and crazy and loud, but so much fun and so much love all in one place. So here are some random pictures of some of the kids...for some reason all the pictures are just of the kids.
Here are Madison and Brookie. Brooke is Sharon's little girl and she loves playing with Madison.

The kids were so fun together. They loved playing with cousins. It was fun to see them all play together. This is Adrian, Cohen, Emma, and Dryden watching cartoons.
Madison and Caden playing together. They are such good buddies.
We had 4 babies under 10 months here this time. Caden, Madison, Leah, and Lexey. This is Leah and Madison. I didn't get a picture with Lexey, but she was so sweet too. It was kind of crazy with 4 babies, but when they are all bigger and can play together it will be so fun!
Ali and Matt's beautiful boys. Cohen, Caden, and Dryden.
Caden and Madison loved each other. They are both crawling so they would get to each other and get all intertwined, but just smile and laugh at each other. It was so fun to see them play.
With this many people and not much space we spent a lot of time at parks and splash pads playing. Which is really good because Madison loves being outside! Look how small she looks in that swing...haha.
We went to the lake on Tuesday and it was a good time until the wind picked up. This is like the only picture I got. Madison liked her floatie and the girls loved pushing her around in the water. That's Ashley, Madison, Abby, and me.

So that is a little bit about how our week has gone. It's so fun when everyone comes into town, it's a good time.

4th of July

Alot of Alan's family has been in town this past weekend for an annual lake trip that we have, but we kind of got a double whammy with the 4th being right before it. On Saturday we did all the traditional 4th of July activities and just spent alot of time with family.

Here is our beautiful little family. Madison, of course, in her festive attire :)
Alan's parents with Madison. Everything is red, white, and blue!

Ali (Alan's twin sister) and me. Such good friends.
Some random pics of our big family :)
And if you were worried about how the fireworks would affect Madison...no more worries, she slept through the entire thing :)
