Updated

I have been awful about updating lately. I know...I could give you all my excuses...I've been working all day, everyday; I'm 8 months pregnant; my internet has been nearly non existent lately; and I'm just tired...but I won't give you any of those excuses. I'll just try to be better. So here goes. Here is a little bit about what has been going on with us.

Many a morning you will find Madison just like this, sitting in Kennedie's carseat holding some baby or other, and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She loves Mickey Mouse. She is doing well...but I think she is finally starting to sense what is going on with her mommy. She has decided to completely ignore me and wants nothing to do with me for like the past week. It doesn't help that I have been so busy with work, but it BREAKS MY HEART! If my mom or sister are watching her they say that she just wanders around saying mommy and is really clingy, but then when I pick her up she just ignores me. If Alan's home she will only let him hold her, change her diaper, or even play with her. I just sit and cry about it alot because i don't know how to help her or how to make it better. Hopefully she will get better, but probably not for a while.

I am 35 weeks and sooo uncomfortable! I don't sleep well anymore. I've been having a lot of contractions, but they always go away which is good because I'm not quite ready for her to come yet...and neither is she. This past week I had the most enjoyable opportunity to pass a kidney stone. I've decided I hate kidneys and I don't think they are too fond of me either. It was painful, but not as painful as a kidney infection so at least that was good. Other than pregnancy I have been busy with work. We had a big get together last weekend and have another customer one coming up next weekend so we are going going going at work. Thank heavens that my boss and coworkers take such good care of me and make me sit down. It's been very stressful on my body.
I've also been trying to get the girls bedroom ready for when Kennedie gets here...little by little. I made this new bow board today for their room. I will eventually finish their room and post some pictures of it. Until then.

The best husband on Earth!

As most of you probably know we are pretty busy people. I have a neighbor who told me last week and she needed to talk to me and kept coming to try to knock on my door, but the only time she could see my van home was at like 9-10 at night. Which was sadly so true. My point is we are busy and I'm stressed to the max and sometimes I know I take it out on my wonderful husband. And instead of getting mad at me about it, I find things like this.

I came down for breakfast and this was hanging from the ceiling. It's pictures of us and a heart shaped note that read...

Throughout the day I found more flowers and notes and pictures all over my house, in my car, outside. Any random place he knew I would go.

I kept getting more...
and more! What an amazing man I married. Not to mention how well he knows me...I love snickers! Thanks babe I love you!

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend Matt and Ali decided to come up to visit! Yay! We love when they decide to come. Then Clint and Emma decided to make a weekend out of it and invited us all up to Clint's family cabin to hang out. I also had my niece and nephew, Garrett and McKinley, for Beth while they went up north. So we had a lot going on, but it was so fun!

Emma, me, Ali, and mom Paxton up in Pine Valley

That week Emma had celebrated her birthday so we threw her a tinkerbell birthday party and had this yummy cake! Happy Birthday Em...sorry I'm so late on posting it :)

Madison and Matt

All the boys love dressing up as super heros! and I mean all the boys!

Alan also took everyone shooting which was way fun! I love this picture of Alan and Alison. Mostly because of the look on Ali's face. haha

On Monday, we went to the splash park to celebrate Caden's first birthday. The kids had a blast!

Although poor Caden was super sick that day.

As you can see we had such a blast with everyone being here! We love when family comes to visit!

I love this little girl!

Madison has been very into her baby dolls lately. I got her a baby bottle at the dollar store and she feeds everything with it. It's seriously so adorable. She wanted to take a picture (or cheese) with her baby and "troller". Also here are some new funny stories...
-Before we put Madison down at night we always kneel by her bed and say prayers with her. She's gotten to the point that she won't even crawl in bed unless we kneel down for prayers. So cute. But today when I tried to lay her down for her nap she did the same thing. She couldn't go night night's until she said prayers. I foresee much praying in our future. It's a good thing really :)
-Beth and I took the kids to McDonalds today. When I pulled into the parking lot I hit the curb. Madison said "Oh be careful mommy." haha thanks my little backseat driver.
What a fun girl!

30 weeks

August is dragging...I think we should skip September altogether and just have it be October so I can have this baby! Kennedie is moving a lot more than she used to, but she moves differently than Madison did. Madison jabbed and punched. Kennedie rolls around and gets up in my ribs. Madison was never in my ribs. Maybe that means Kennedie is long? I think she has to be because she is on my bladder and in my ribs all at the same time! Haha. I had my doctors appointment last week and he said everything is looking good. Her head is down and in position (which, like I said, she's on my bladder). He also said that for some reason I still have blood in my urine. It's been there since my kidney infection and it won't go away. I haven't had any more pain and I haven't noticed it so he said if either of those things change (I notice it or I have pain) to come right in. So we'll see how that pans out. This pregnancy has definitely been harder on me than my first. I'm way more tired...I think thanks to Madison. But I've also already started contracting. I had braxton hicks contractions with Madison from like 24 weeks on, but they started earlier with Kennedie. But the difference is that now I will have contractions that feel like real contractions. They take my breath away, I can't talk through them, and they are super regular. I know they aren't real because they stop if I take it easy, but it's really annoying. Anyway, that's how I've been feeling lately. The end!

Pine Valley Hiking Trip

This past weekend Alan, my dad, my brother Reed, and our friend BJ went on a 15 mile overnight hike over Pine Valley mountain. Why you may ask? I don't know, but despite being pretty sore and tired afterwards, I think they all felt very accomplished for doing it.

They started off in Mill Flat (somewhere near Pine Valley and Pinto) and hiked into New Harmony the next day. Alan said they pretty much went straight up one side and straight down the other.

The 5 fingers in Kolob. This was their view from the top. Pretty!

And this is what they hiked down through. I guess there was a fire where they were and they hiked through the ash of the burnt trees. Not much shade to hide under.

And this is what Alan's legs looked like after he took his boots and socks off. That is a line of dirt/ash from hiking through the burnt trees. Gross! Alan says he's glad he did it, but he doesn't need to do it again...I'm pretty sure they had fun though!

Madison Funnies

Madison is a funny little thing. And now that she is starting to talk more and more she seriously makes me laugh every day. I thought I would start sharing funny things that Madison says or does on here so I remember them and we can all get a good laugh.
-A couple weeks ago Madison wasn't feeling very well and she was super ornery. We had a hard couple days. One of the days I was gonna take her to my mom's so she could sleep there while I had a doctors appointment. I got her all ready to go and she threw a HUGE fit. She wouldn't tell me what she wanted so I started guessing. "Do you want to go to grandma's?" "NO!" (which never happens by the way...she loves grandmas.) "Well do you want to stay home?" "NO!" "Do you want to eat lunch?" "NO!" and so on and so on. Finally I got her to calm down enough and I said, "Well what do you want to do sis?" she said "Go shopping. Yeah go shopping" Haha. Of all the things to do. I didn't even know she liked shopping. So I told her we were gonna go shopping and she put her shoes right on, grabbed her "purse" and walked out the door. Little stink.
-The other day Madison was playing with her tea pot and I asked if she was having a tea party. She said yes and I sat down with her to have some tea. So cute. I asked her how her tea party was going and she looked up at me and said, "No, tea potty mommy." It was so funny.
-When we ask Madison where baby Kennedie is she lifts up her shirt and points to her belly.
-A while ago we were eating dinner at my sister's house and Madison dropped her cup on the ground. She looked up at us and said, "Oh no, JD did it." We said, "No he didn't Madison, JD isn't even here." "Gibbit (Garrett) did it." "No Garrett didn't do it either." "It was Kinley. Kinley did it." "No Madison Kinley didn't do it. Did you drop your cup Madison." "Yeah..." She does it all the time now. I will watch her do something naughty and she looks at me and blames someone else. Don't know where she learned this, but I think I'm in major trouble with this one. :)
